Survey Crew Chief (Amherst, NY Office): Wendel is seeking a talented, team-oriented Survey Crew Chief to join our firm. In this position, you would be leading a field team in various engineering and land surveying projects such as boundary, topographic, highway and construction projects under the direction of the project manager; implementing field requirements; and performing related office tasks such as processing and adjusting data, earthwork calculations and mapping. Applicant should have an Associate’s Degree in related field (or working towards) and five years of documented field experience. Must be familiar with Electronic Data Collection, GPS and Robotic Total Stations, and AutoCAD. Microstation a plus. This position will require working outdoors in various weather and site conditions. Critical skills include; excellent written and verbal communication, planning and organization skills, and the ability to facilitate win-win conflict resolution. Electrical Engineer (Amherst, NY Office): Wendel is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join our engineering team. We present the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and diverse projects in an expanding geography. Project management and customer relations skills are necessary as this is a project leadership position. A minimum of 10 year’s experience in the electrical design and construction sector required. This position requires heavy industrial experience; applicant must be familiar with the NEC and hazardous classifications (Class I Division I & II). BS in Electrical needed. Some travel is required.
