  • GIS Developer (Williamsville, NY): Wendel, an ESRI business partner, is seeking an innovative GIS Application Developer with expert development skill for our Williamsville, NY office.  This position will support companywide projects and clients across different disciplines.  The selected candidate will lead and be involved in all phases of application development life cycle, from requirements gathering, analysis and design, development, testing, implementation of GIS solutions, and documentation.  The ideal candidate must have extensive GIS experience at an enterprise level in addition to database development/management and programming. The applicant will have the primary responsibility of administering and maintaining Wendel’s ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE databases and GIS software infrastructure, as well as, administering and maintaining client ArcGIS Servers and their GIS software infrastructure. This candidate will develop new GIS web-based applications, and maintain and enhance existing GIS applications and geoprocessing scripts.  Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years experience developing web and desktop GIS solutions, a Bachelors Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Geography of related discipline and have experience in Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio.  Experience developing GIS solutions using C#, .NET and ESRI tools are also preferred.   • Senior Mechanical Engineer (Richmond, VA): Come work for a dynamic, growing, national architectural and engineering firm in Richmond, Virginia.  Wendel is in need of an experienced and licensed Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead the Richmond Office for Mechanical and Electrical engineering in support of architectural work.  The right candidate will have 10-15 years of practical building engineering design of systems; project and team management experience as well as business development skills as they develop a core competency in the Richmond Office of other mechanical and electrical engineers.  Licensed professional engineer a must for this senior level person.   • Energy Engineer (Long Island, NY): Wendel is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join our energy team in our Long Island, NY office. In this position you will be responsible for developing comprehensive energy audits, including data collection, utility bill disaggregation and benchmarking; field visits; energy calculations; cost estimates and contractor pricing, energy measure descriptions and detailed work scope packages; report writing; development of measurement and verification plans and contract documents. You will also assist with management of design, bidding and construction. We are looking for a mid-level engineer with 5-7 years of related experience and a Bachelors degree.   • Project Manager (Richmond/Alexandria, VA): Wendel is seeking a dynamic and outgoing professional to join our project management team. A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, engineering or architecture is required. Civil/structural engineering background or multidiscipline design and construction experience is preferred. Critical skills include excellent written and verbal communication, excellent planning and organization and an ability to facilitate win-win conflict resolution. Business development experience within various market sectors is a plus. Other beneficial attributes include Project Management Certification and familiarity with software tools such as MS Project and MS Office. Travel is required.   • Survey Manager (Williamsville, NY): We are looking for a star player to join our Survey department. You are the ideal candidate if you are proficient in 3D survey development projects such as construction, landfills, topographic surveys and capital improvement projects, have experience in the boundary survey market, experience working within multidiscipline teams, the ability to multi-task and manage a team. You must also be comfortable mentoring and developing current and new staff. Wendel is looking for business development acumen and someone with an existing client portfolio. This person needs to be able to project ahead to the future and have a sense of the “big picture.” We require a P.L.S. license and 10-15 years of experience.   • Architectural Designer (Richmond/Alexandria, VA): Wendel is seeking an entry-level professional to work in our Richmond, VA office. The candidate will work in a multi-office team environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture is required and minimum 1 year of experience is preferred. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Adobe Photoshop is required. Experience in technical writing a plus.   • Wastewater Engineer (Williamsville, NY): Experience in hydraulics, municipal water and wastewater treatment plant design, and energy usage/analysis will add to our team’s strength. The candidate must have a strong background in water and wastewater process planning, design, and construction administration of large infrastructure projects. Responsibilities also include assisting in the engineering and management of project assignments to meet the needs of Clients. Bachelor’s or Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required. A PE is preferred, but we will consider experience and background. We are looking for 5-15 years of experience.   • Project Manager (Long Island, NY): Wendel is looking for a candidate with 5+ years of accomplished project management experience; experience in direct construction activities related to energy efficiency projects preferred for our Long Island office. Candidate will be responsible for multiple projects and oversee multiple subcontractors, design consultants and equipment vendors in cooperation with a staff of engineers to implement energy efficiency projects from initial audit through construction. Multitask both administration and management functions including overseeing the development of ASHRAE Level II audits, oversee development of design documents, production of biddable documents, and oversee construction leads.
