At minimum an Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Technology/Management is a must. A licensed engineer/architect is preferred, but not required. Proficiency with project scheduling and project budget management is required.   • Architectural Designer: Wendel is seeking an entry-level professional to work in our Richmond, VA office. The candidate will be required to work in a multi-office team environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture is required and minimum 1 year of experience is preferred.  Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Adobe Photoshop is required. Experience in technical writing a plus.   • Architect: The Wendel Companies has a position available for a team leader in our Minneapolis Office. Minimum 7 years’ experience required with strong design, construction document and construction administration experience. Licensure preferred. Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite is required. Responsibilities include client leadership, multi-discipline team leadership and project development from concept through construction.   • Project Manager Richmond or Alexandria, VA: Wendel is seeking a dynamic and outgoing professional to join our project management team. A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, engineering or architecture is required. Civil/structural engineering background or multidiscipline design and construction experience is preferred. Critical skills include excellent written and verbal communication, excellent planning and organization and an ability to facilitate win-win conflict resolution. Business development experience within various market sectors is a plus. Other beneficial attributes include Project Management Certification and familiarity with software tools such as MS Project and MS Office. Travel is required.   • Survey Manager: We are looking for a star player to join our Survey department. You are the ideal candidate if you are proficient in 3D survey development projects such as construction, landfills, topographic surveys and capital improvement projects, have experience in the boundary survey market, experience working within multi-discipline teams, the ability to multi-task and manage a team. You must also be comfortable mentoring and developing current and new staff. Wendel is looking for business development acumen and someone with an existing client portfolio. This person needs to be able to project ahead to the future and have a sense of the “big picture.”  We require a P.L.S. license and 10-15 year’s experience.   • Field Survey/Instrument Person: This job entails assisting team members with outside activities associated with various engineering and land surveying projects, support and implement the field requirements for project work as directed, data collection and management, and precision measuring using various equipment including robotic total station and GPS data collection to collect 3 dimensional data and attributes. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree, minimum 5 years documented field experience, the ability to work outdoors in various weather and site conditions, available to work overtime as needed, and must be a team player.   • Architectural Designer: Wendel is seeking a highly-motivated, experienced professional to work in our Buffalo, NY office. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, technical experience and project leadership experience to work collaboratively in our multi-office team environment.  Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and a minimum of 5-8 years of facility design and construction administration experience is preferred.   • Site Civil Engineer: If your passion is making a difference in the community, we need you! Experience in site design/development, grading, drainage and stormwater treatment design. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and site design/development knowledge.  An EIT Certification is preferred.  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required. We are looking for candidates with between 0 and 4 yrs. experience.  You must have your own transportation for travel to job sites and client meetings.   Apply here.

  • Wastewater Engineer: Experience in hydraulics, municipal water and wastewater treatment plant design, and energy usage/analysis will add to our team’s strength. The candidate must have a strong background in water and wastewater process planning, design, and construction administration of large infrastructure projects. Responsibilities also include assisting in the engineering and management of project assignments to meet the needs of Clients.  Bachelor’s or Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required. A PE is preferred, but we will consider experience and background.  We are looking for levels of experience between 5 and 15 years. You must have your own transportation for travel to job sites and client meetings, and occasional overnight travel may be required.  Apply here

  • Project Manager: Wendel is looking for a candidate with 5+ yrs. of accomplished project management experience; experience in direct construction activities related to energy efficiency projects preferred for our Long Island office. Candidate will be responsible for multiple projects and oversee multiple subcontractors, design consultants and equipment vendors in cooperation with a staff of engineers to implement energy efficiency projects from initial audit through construction.
