Project Objective
Wendel Duchscherer provided professional
surveying services to Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A. to complete
a boundary survey of the Niagara Falls International Airport, an approximately 700-acre parcel located in the towns of Niagara and Wheatfield, NY. Wendel Duchscherer was selected for this project based
on a recommendation of the title company, the
Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, and
our demonstrated performance on prior projects
of this type and size.

Solution
Innovation became an important element since the airport was fully operational during the project. Safety of airport and Wendel Duchscherer personnel was vital. Everyone’s movements throughout the facility had to be carefully planned and
communicated.

The project required the use of Global Positioning Surveys (GPS) and conventional survey methods to establish primary control, obtain precise survey measurements, and locate features throughout the airport.

Field surveying and mapping services were completed in accordance with the minimum standards for land surveys as adopted by the Niagara Frontier Land Surveyors Association and the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors.
