Moving in the right direction.
Since designing our first transit project in 1975, Wendel has completed several hundred transportation projects and initiatives from coast to coast. In the past 10 years alone, we have worked on more than 80 vehicle operations, maintenance, and multimodal (intermodal) facilities across the country; amounting to over one billion dollars in construction value. Our mission is to work with agencies and municipalities of all sizes to improve and modernize their transit and maintenance service. From planning and design to project and construction management, we pull out all the stops - with the direction and support needed to put your transit vision into motion. Our creative and award-winning public transportation planning and design projects are the result of enthusiastic collaboration among our architects, engineers, planners, landscape architects - and of course, our clients.
We’ve built a reputation for excellence in Transit Oriented Development (TOD) initiatives / livable communities, bus maintenance and multimodal facility design, as well as public transportation planning and management. And by focusing on the needs of our clients we are able to provide for the safety and comfort of the traveling public as well.
Sustainable design is gaining momentum in today’s communities. That’s why a commitment to being socially and environmentally responsible drives everything we do at Wendel. We’re proud to employ greener practices in the Public Transportation market that can provide direct benefits to our customers by reducing energy, water and operating costs, as well as increasing operational efficiency.
What’s more, we work with municipalities and communities to develop sustainable design strategies that enhance existing infrastructure and improve the quality of life for future generations. With the right combination of innovation and accountability, there’s no stopping us.
