We are looking for an intern out of our Albany, NY office. Our internship program provides hands-on practical experience for students while potentially developing the individual to take on a full-time role with Wendel post-graduation.
Internship Purpose:
- Actively work on projects from concept phase to final design and through construction.
- Collaborate and share ideas with senior level staff on those projects.
- Develop applicable load cases to be used in the design of building systems/components.
- Perform detailed design calculations following applicable building and material codes for steel, concrete, masonry, wood, etc.
- Assist with the analysis and design of structural systems/components.
- Participate in project, client and team meetings.
- Support the team in assisting in conducting facility assessments, writing technical reports, and editing material specifications.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree at an accredited institution, with a focus on Structural Engineering.
- Excellent PC skills. Microsoft Office software experience required.
- Some knowledge of structural engineering software (RAM Structural Systems, RAM Elements, TEKLA Structural Designer).
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the Civil Engineering team.
- Ability to work on-site and travel if needed.

Hourly Pay Range: $20 – $ 24
